Presentations…Question…What has a bright orange Helly Hanson fleece, a long, jet-black wig, a Bosch 24v hammer drill, a Superman T-Shirt and a pink inflatable Cornona duck got in common? Answer…They variously appear, along with a ton of images, video footage and some long-tales in my multi-media AV presentations on climbing and photography… Nu skool presentions…Gone (forever – probably!) are the days where lectures were slides shows and talk. Nu skool presentations are in thanks to today’s kit and Heason Events. I’ve scanned slides (tons of them…), edited video footage (tapes of them…), uploaded music clips (my favourites…), raided wardrobes (aplenty…), double-checked climbing diaries (years of them…) and shoe-horned the whole darned lot in a variety of shows… 35 Years of Pennine Climbing…Based on ‘Thirty Years of Pennine Climbing – in Twenty Minutes’, the original show delivered to a packed crowd in Sheffield’s very own Lescar pub at the inaugural evening in the 2004 Heason Event winter season, 35 Years of Peninne Climbing is the re-vamped show brought right-up-to-date following the passage of yet more water under the bridge and Steve Mac’s recent ascent of his amazing new sport climb, Overshadow 9a+, at Malham Cove. ‘C’ is for Connor Cove and Canadian Rockies…An eclectic mix of C’s – just for the fun of it! ‘C’ is for Connor Cove and Canadian Rockies takes an in-depth look at two completely disparate chapters in the rich diversity of climbing that exists today; Deep Water Soling at Connors Cove and the scenic splendour of the Canadian Rockies.
